SDG and Lux Drama Ministry
announce the
Fall 2006 Acting Workshop
at Park Street Church
Sundays at 2:00pm for 5 weeks
from November 19 to December 17
3rd Floor Conference Room 301 in Building 3
Space is limited (see below for enrollment information)

The Lux drama ministry cordially invites you to explore the craft of acting and develop your skills as a Christian actor in a free acting workshop. Participants will be able to choose from scripture, classic plays, newer work, or poetic text. Lux director and local theatre artist Julie Levene leads this workshop series.

Open to ALL levels, the workshop is intended as a forum to explore acting from a Christian perspective, develop as an actor, and fellowship with other Christian actors. The workshop will approach each student's level personally and move at each individual’s pace with the following categories to address general levels.

Beginner: Analyze text and explore characters, monologues and scenes. Monologues and scenes will be assigned.

Intermediate: Increased focus on character development, text analysis and work more extensively on monologues and scenes. Monologues and scenes will be assigned.

Advanced: Focus on scene work and character development. Audition preparation including monologues and cold readings may also be addressed.
